I got my first set of beads when I was seven, and I've been playing with them and creating jewelry ever since! I especially love the classic look of Native American-style necklaces and earrings and working with beads and arrowheads, most likely because of the Native American heritage on my mother's side of the family.
I stopped beading for a while when college and then work took over, but after seeing the prices that some companies charge for jewelry that I can make at a fraction of the cost, I decided to start creating again. My goal is to make durable, affordable pieces that will add a little something extra to someone's day. My pieces are a direct reflection of my personality, everything that I make is something that I would actually wear myself, and I often actually DO wear my pieces!
In the last few years I have shifted primarily to creating pieces with beads, and I think that beadwork is the area of jewelry making that I was meant to work in -- it is how I got started, after all!
